A Goodwill and Study Trip To Thailand

5th June 2009 (Friday)-Together with my student, Lee Hsieh Yie and 29 other teachers and students from UMK, MRSM Pengkalan Chepa, SMK Sultan Sulaiman & SBP Integrasi Kuala Trengganu, Kolej Islam ST, Nilam Puri, SMK Kota Bharu, then joined by the Prince Songkla University's students were given a great opportunity and warmth welcome by the Royal Thai Consulate-General to visit the Bangkok, incl Vajiravudh College, Pusat Islam, Safari World, Rose Garden, Theme Park , Grand Palace, Amphua Floating Market, Narathiwat Muslim community in Ban Thong , and shopping spree in Silom and Pratunam street market etc.
We were given a warmth welcome lunch upon arrival in Pattani by the Governor and staffs. As 'small' ambassadors from Malaysia (Kelantan and Trengganu), we're glad to say that they're very serious in fostering a great relation between Bangkok and the bordering states including southern Thai. A good credit to Mr. Henry Nittirooge ,the Consul General himself and the staffs esp. Mr. Eh Dam.

The students (Winners) were given certs. n tokens at the Foreign Ministry Office, Bangkok by the Minister herself. Congratulations to all who have won the Ist Annual Essay Contest 2009 organised by the The Royal Thai Consulate-General in Kota Bharu.

We're escorted all the way through from Sungai Golok. We passed Kresik Mosque. In Haadyai, we boarded the Nok Air plane at the Haadyai Airport to Don Muang Airport, Bangkok and flew back by Thai Air Asia to Narathiwat Airport , and reached home safely thru' Takbai on 10th June 2009.
Thanks to all the staff of The Royal Thai Consulate in Kota Bharu for selecting us.....it's really a dream come thru' to most of us esp. when we're given a grand welcome at the Thai Foreign Ministry by the minister herself.

My personal thanks to the Best Western Mayfair Suite staff too.

It was a tiring and 'pack' programme but quite enjoyable, esp. to experience the life in Thailand. Don't misled by the mass media...it's safe to be in Thailand.

Lastly, thank you Thailand. You are very friendly people. Looking forward to Thailand again.

Really miss our new friends such as Rovindran, Cikgu Wan A C , Michelle, Mr. Ariezal, Fathul, Abdullah, Zaina, Cikgu Rafi, Amalina, Miss Nini, Michelle's mum, Hashim, Cikgu Nik, Mr. Eh Dam, and our tourist guide Mr. Din n Saudara Miel of the Sinar Harian press n others from the KIST and Prince Songkla University.

"If the people don't abandon me, why should i desert them" - His Highness The Royal King of Thailand.
